Hi,
"Clear and informative! Many small business owners don’t realize how easily they can reach the employee threshold for mandatory workers’ comp. It’s especially helpful to know that part-time and seasonal workers count too. Great reminder to check state-specific rules to stay compliant and avoid unnecessary penalties."

Thanks Bill for this insightful article, it is a subject that I haven't heard discussed before in our WC community. As the Director of the WC program here at Loma Linda University Health, we encourage and advocate for our employees to reach out to our chaplain services for pray and support. I fully agree that the WC world needs to address the whole person, thus taking the negative incident of an injury and turning it into a positive experience where the employee comes out with a better understanding of how co-morbidities, personal habits, psychosocial and other issues play a role in their pain and recovery, with the hope for sustainable healthy habits. I've done a few presentations on this subject, have you seen them? Most recently at CCWC in Anaheim.
