Dill Battle, a Member at Spilman Thomas & Battle, is also Chair of the Insurance Government Relations & Regulatory Practice Group and Chair of the Workers' Compensation Practice Group. Mr. Battle's primary areas of practice are workers' compensation, employment relations and counseling, product liability litigation, and commercial litigation. He received his J.D. from West Virginia University, J.D. in 1993. His broad experience in law includes defending employers in workers' compensation claims related to workplace injuries, occupational disease, occupational pneumoconiosis and hearing loss. Also, as an attorney in Charleston, WV, Mr. Battle has expertise defending and litigating administrative claims before the West Virginia Human Rights Commission. He was named the Best Lawyers® 2020 "Lawyer of the Year" for Workers' Compensation Law - Employers in Charleston, W.Va. and is AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
