Faculty Profile

Michael Marsh is the President and CEO of Midland Claims Service, Inc. and Industrial Injury Claims®. Midland Claims has been in business since 1946 and in the Marsh family since the 1960’s. He has more than four decades of experience in the insurance industry, having begun his career as an independent adjuster with his father in junior high. He is licensed as a Montana Producer, Adjuster and Certified Workers’ Compensation Examiner. Michael has a unique perspective to bring both tradition and history coupled with innovation and progress to Workers’ Compensation. His blog is located at https://www.workerscompensation.expert. Michael was named the inaugural Montana Governor’s Achievement Award for Outstanding Workers’ Compensation Professional, the highest award for service in Workers’ Compensation in Montana. Michael and his daughter Lauren Marsh run a non-profit organization called Rase Safety Assistance, Inc. which gives safety grants to amateur and professional flat track motorcycle athlete racers. In his spare time, Michael serves on the boards of directors for Montana State Fund, Big Sky Economic Development, Montana Self-Insurers Association, Affiliated Adjusters, Associated Employers of Montana and Kids’ Chance of Montana.
