Amalia Sanchez is the Risk Manager for the City of Culver City in California and resides in Los Angeles. After completing her undergraduate degree, she was given the opportunity to join the risk team at The Getty Museum where she developed the knowledge and skills in loss control, insurance, and claim management. Since then, Amalia has worked for a number of reputable organizations in different industries which have contributed to her knowledge of workers’ compensation, general liability, litigation and importance of customer/stakeholder service. Amalia has served on the board for the National Latina Business Women Association-National, National Latina Business Women Association-Los Angeles, and Hispanic Risk and Insurance Association. Amalia holds a Bachelor of Art in Sociology and Communication Studies and a Master in Public Administration. Amalia seeks to be an agent of change for her community and underserved communities, and create unforeseen opportunities for others.
